Indian Princely States
Until around 1947 many parts of India had their own separate coinages too. These regions were run as Princely States and coins from around twenty of these fit into my collecting criteria. The Princely States with more abundant coinages are such as Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kutch and Travancore. For some of the other Princely States there are very few twentieth century pieces.
I have an at least fairly photogenic coin of the 1900's for each of
eight of the many India Princely States. I hope to do images of them sometime.
To follow are the descriptions of the pieces I have in mind.
